Whaler Industrial Contracting Inc. is a well-established and growing construction company focused on heavy industrial, energy, and the oil and gas industry. We are seeking an experienced and energetic individual to join our team and assume a leadership role as a Site Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

-Provide front line supervision, coordination, align and supervise crews, assign work

-Be cognizant of productivity and quality, ensure all personnel performing to Safety expectations

-Coordinate Manpower movement /subcontractor involvement in work activities, conduct 2 week look ahead

-Develop a strong understanding of the Clients Engineering Specifications

-Ensure all workers have received proper training and are following protocol in reporting and review

-Ensure quality/inspection of installation

-Ensure tools and equipment have been inspected to meet requirements

-Plan and attend daily meetings, follow Whaler processes, project tracking and reporting requirements

-Mitigate problems

-Regularly communicate work progress, schedule variance, crew and safety performance to the client and project manager

-Verify accuracy of daily progression and time sheets

-Work site inspections, monitoring safety and quality of work

Experience and Education

-Excellent leadership and people skills. Must excel in verbal and written communication

-High accuracy to detail and organizational skills

-Computer skills, which include: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

-A good understanding of Scheduling Software Reports, cost control, programs and performance measurement

-Inter Provincial Journeyman Certification in Field of Expertise and good understanding of all disciplines

-Must have 5-10 years of Industrial Construction Experience as a J/M, 4-5 of these years in supervisory capacity with experience directing multiple trade functions.
