Expanding Foothills Hospital
The new McCaig Tower is part of the first phase of a major redevelopment for the existing Foothills Medical Center. The new building and renovations include new operating rooms, beds, a musculoskeletal clinic, emergency dept. expansion, surgical department, admissions and a major renovation to the power plant.
T&M spent 14 months clearing the site for construction, which required relocating services and access tunnels. T&M built this facility on a cost reimbursable and shared risk basis. We completed the full installation of all mechanical systems including sheet metal, sprinkler, insulation, controls and building management system, including all medical equipment and piping.
The power plant expansion was completed in five months, over winter, so it did not disrupt hospital operations.
